3DSets Van Warn Winch bumper
A custom front bumper designed for 3Dsets Model 14 “Long Max” and Model 15 expedition vehicles to provide an off-road look and winch capability. The bumper is designed to hold a winch, such as a finished model mimicking a Warn Zeon that uses a small geared DC motor. The author notes that the bumper can be adapted for different winches as long as the winch fits between the front frame members. The design takes visual inspiration from heavy-gauge sheet metal bumpers for period cars. Included in the files are remixed frame members that are exactly 10mm extended. The author tested that these can be swapped onto an already finished van, though it is noted that it helps if there is no electronics installed in the engine bay. Requirements and notes: - Requires 8x M2x16mm bolts. - Requires scale shackles (the author suggests purchasing these rather than printing them). - Add-on lights are not included. - The bumper includes mounting holes for headlights; however, the outer mounting points for turn-signals must be measured and drilled by the user to match the author's specific look. - The bumper includes a place to mount the original 3Dsets license plate or a custom one of the same shape.
