RC FXT Ravine Damper Mount Extension Purpose These mounts are designed to raise ground clearance by approximately 10mm and allow for maximum axle articulation on both sides, exceeding 90 degrees. The author states they should also work on the Danchee Ridgerock and Pirate Swinger. Practical Uses They are used to increase vehicle clearance and improve suspension movement. For installation, the author notes you will need to remove the wheels and steering pivot screws to replace the lower screws more easily. Included Parts The set includes four damper mount extensions. Printing and Assembly Guidance Printing settings recommended by the author are 0.1mm layers and 100% infill for strength. Temperature settings suggested are 220°C for filament, 70°C for the first layer, and 50°C for the remainder. The author used a raft and supports everywhere, noting that significant cleaning is required afterward. Technical Specifications The lower holes are 3.3mm and the top holes for the damper swivel are 2.1mm. The author notes that stock damper swivels require a 2.5mm screw. For the lower holes, the author suggests using longer screws, such as 2.5 x 20mm self-tapping screws. The author cautions that PLA is more brittle than original injection-moulded plastic and advises care when screwing into the top holes.
