Model information
Description
This 3D model is an unfinished prototype intended to serve as a conceptual basis for magnetic dampers for RC cars. Inspired by a concept from Fast & Furious 6, the model is provided primarily for editing and redesigning purposes rather than as a finished functional product.
Practical Uses
The model is intended to act as a starting point for creators to design and develop high-quality, strong magnetic shock absorbers, specifically for applications such as Traxxas RC cars. The author suggests using the file to iterate on the idea to create a more effective suspension system.
Included Parts
The model file includes a prototype magnetic suspension design (prototype_magnetic_suspension.stl).
Printing and Assembly Guidance
The design requires 2.5x8mm magnets. The author specifies that magnets must be placed in a repelling orientation to function. Note that the author describes the current state of the model as unfinished, lacking sufficient springiness for light RC cars, and containing significant filing errors.

This 3D model is perhaps the worst and most unfinished model I have ever published.

It is only for editing = make the whole thing again. I got the idea while watching F&F6. The moment Paul Walker said about magnetic dampers, I was thinking about a 3d printed version for RC cars.

Unfortunately: 1. I didn't have time to complete it; 2. not springy enough even for a light RC car; 3. about two days after printing I lost half so…

In short, I have plans for bigger and stronger ones, but I probably won't publish them. I'll leave the usage up to you, I'm just publishing an idea. Maybe I recommend not downloading my model, there is a lot of filing with it and the like.

So I'm just going to tell you a few main things about the model: 2.5x8mm magnet, !PUT THEM TO REPELLE!, but maybe I don't need to tell you that.

So why am I publishing this "model"? Until now, I have missed all competitions, or had a suitable model only after it was over. Now I have a good model (which, of course, doesn't even have third place). As I say, I'm posting an idea, and if someone makes a good quality, strong magnetic shock absorber for a traxxas car, I'll download it right away.

Sory, without picture. You have a 3D.
