Tamiya M03/FF02 Center Extension 257mm Wheelbase
Purpose
This center section is designed to convert a Tamiya M03 chassis into a Tamiya FF02. The design provides dedicated space for mounting an ESC and a receiver.
Practical Uses
This kit is intended for RC chassis conversions. The author reports the parts are suitable for race-use when printed with specific settings.
Included Parts
The digital files include the following components:
- Center extension (various formats: Left, Right, Bottom, Complete, and main STL)
- Shock towers (Front and Rear)
- Upper arms (Front and Rear TL01 style)
Printing and Assembly Guidance
For race-use, the author recommends printing in PETG with 5 walls, 5 top/bottom layers, and 40% cubic infill. These parts should be used in conjunction with Tamiya TL01 suspension arms.
Assembly requires the following hardware:
- M2.5x16mm bolts for the plate under the extension (utilizing predrilled holes in the sides).
- M3x8mm bolts for the front.
- M3x16mm bolts for the rear.
