Model information
Description
Custom 3D-printable molds designed for casting silicone sealing plugs compatible with the PrintDry Pro, Pro2, Pro3, and Pro4. These plugs are intended to replace the existing two plug handles and plug all holes. The set also includes three solid PETG plugs with holes to pair with the silicone plugs for single-spool use.
Practical Uses
These molds allow users to create custom silicone seals. The V2a and V2b versions feature a diameter 0.2mm larger than the V1 version to provide a better seal. For installation, the author suggests coating silicone plugs in 90% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to help them slide into place; the seal forms once the alcohol dries.
Included Parts
The files include various versions of the molds: V1 (Original), V2a (a two-half split design), and V2b (a single mold design).
Casting and Assembly Guidance
To prepare the two-half molds (V1 and V2a), use M3 bolts to secure the halves. Apply a small amount of glue stick to the mating surfaces, ensuring no adhesive enters the plug cavity. For V1 and V2a, tighten the M3 bolts in a star pattern to ensure even pressure. The V2b single mold does not require clamping.
When casting, the author used 15A silicone. After pouring, scrape the top of V2 molds to remove excess. Once completely dry, remove the bolts and carefully pry the mold apart. For V2 versions, use a plastic or PETG scraper to remove excess liquid silicone and let it dry.

For both the V2 molds, use a plastic or PETG scraper to scrape off excess liquid Silicone and let dry. The thin film will be enough to gently pry the Plugs out of the PETG single mold V2b. The V2a is easier with demolding because of the two halves, but they both work well. The V2 molds are 0.2mm larger in diameter thant the Original V1. I found the larger diameter fit better, but both are more functional than the stock, 2-plug handles.
