Información del modelo
Descripción
Purpose:
This model is a cover designed to reduce light leakage from the LCD screen after installing Klipper. It is intended to be a friction fit onto the control box.
Practical Uses:
It is designed to fit the CR-10 V2 and V3 control boxes, though the author notes the original CR-10 may have a different sized control box. The author reports that printing in white may result in a square blue shape due to light passing through the plastic.
Included Parts
- CtrlBoxMask_Blank.stl
- CtrlBoxMask_Blank.step
- CtrlBoxMask_CrHero.stl
- CtrlBoxMask_CRHero-Square.stl
Printing/Assembly Guidance:
To print, flip the model so the flat side is facing the build surface. For a high-quality first layer, the author suggests using a Height Range Modifier to set the first layer to 1 perimeter and using a Hilbert Curve bottom infill pattern to avoid conflict with carbon fiber texture sheets.

<p>A cover to cut down on the amount of light from the LCD screen after installing Klipper. </p><p>I made mine look like that Creality Hero action figure they have in advertisements. There is also a blank one if you want to modify it.</p><p>It is just friction fit onto the control box. Will fit on the CR-10 V2, V3 but not sure about other models. I think the original CR-10 has a different size control box. This piece is 4.93" (125.197mm) wide. </p><p>It won't import in the correct orientation so you will need to flip it over so flat side is towards the build surface. </p><p>One of the ones in the photos was printed on a carbon fiber texture sheet made by ChowThink. To get a really good first layer I used a Height Range Modifier to set the 1st layer to 1 perimeter and used Hilbert Curve as bottom infill pattern. This way the diagonal likes of they typical Monotonic infill pattern did not conflict with the carbon fiber pattern.</p><p>Oh, if you print in white it doesn't look so great since the light goes through the plastic and you get a square blue shape…</p><p> </p><p>I spent way too much time on this…</p><p> </p>
