Published description
Purpose
These pulleys are designed to convert a 1/10 RC drift car to use a belt drive first-stage in place of gears. Note that using a belt drive first stage will reverse wheel rotation, requiring a gear swap in the transmission or ESC reprogramming to correct.
Practical Uses
The pulley profiles are HTD 3mm, though the designer recommends using them with S3M belts to reduce friction. For a 15T/40T pulley setup, a 50T belt is suggested as a starting point. The pinion is intended to press onto a 14T/48P pinion gear.
Included Parts
- Pinion - 15T.step
- Spur - 40T.step
- S3M 15T YinYang.stl
Printing and Assembly Guidance
Print components true to size for best performance. The spur features an 8x16mm bolt circle to fit most drift chassis. The pinion is configurable from 14-20T and the spur is configurable from 36-48T.
