Carbon Hornet II
A remake of the Carbon Hornet II, a 5" drone originally designed and produced by S.Creamer in 2016. This version is modeled to be easily printable. The frame includes mounting holes for 30x30, 25x25, and 20x20 FCs. The video mount is currently only compatible with Caddx cameras featuring a 6mm screw mounting distance. The author suggests that the community model mounts for other cameras. The drone is intended for 2207 motors. No specific location is provided for the radio receiver or antennas, though the author notes there is ample space available inside the frame. The battery attaches under the length of the rear arm; slots are provided for a 20mm wide strap at the rear, though the author notes the battery can also be secured to the top of the frame using two straps. The author recommends printing the frame and arms in a strong material with 5 perimeter walls and at least 50% infill (100% is ideal). Suggested materials include PA12-CF, PA6-CF, or PETG-CF. Hardware required: 2x M3 x 19 standoffs, 6x M3 nuts, 6x M3 x 12 screws, and 2x M3 x 6 screws.
