Published description
Simple RC Buggy
Purpose
This design provides a complete R/C car body and chassis intended for easy 3D printing. The model is specifically engineered to be printed without the use of supports.
Practical Uses
This kit is designed to house four N20 micro gearmotors. The chassis includes a dedicated cut-away for an on/off switch and features mounting holes compatible with Pololu or similar mounting brackets. While designed for N20 motors, the provided OpenSCAD files allow for modifications to accommodate different motors or axles.
Included Parts
The package includes STL files for the RC Buggy body and the RC Buggy chassis, as well as the corresponding OpenSCAD files for customization.
Printing and Assembly Guidance
The author states that the STL files are oriented correctly to allow for printing without supports. For the body, the author recommends using a brim. The body and chassis are designed to have a snug fit, with an option to secure them together using two self-tapping screws. The author successfully printed the model in PLA using a Cocoon Create Touch (Wanhao Duplicator i3 plus clone).
