Published description
HeliGrip RC helicopter skid clamps are designed for the secure transport and storage of RC helicopters. These clamps lock onto the helicopter's landing skids to provide stability during travel or while organizing a hangar. 1. Purpose: The system is intended to secure helicopter landing skids for safer transport and organized storage. 2. Practical Uses: They can be used to lock a helicopter in place while hitting the road or when storing equipment in a hangar. 3. Included Parts: The model files include various clamp components: RC helicopter skid clamp bottom short, Rc helicopter skid mount double bottom v1, RC helicopter skid clamp bottom, RC heilcopter skid clamp Bottom TPU insert, and RC helicopter skid clamp top TPU insert. 4. Printing and Assembly Guidance: The author suggests printing the main clamps in solid PLA, though ABS or PETG are recommended if heat resistance is needed for use inside a hot vehicle. The TPU inserts should be printed with 0.8mm top and bottom layers and 0.8mm outer walls. To complete the assembly, M4X12 or longer bolts are required.
