Published description
Low Profile Screw-on 1/10 RC hex covers
Purpose
This set of three different nut covers is designed for 1/10 scale RC vehicles to prevent losing nuts on carpet tracks.
Practical Uses
- Long pro - hex cover: Designed for 2WD rear axles that extend several millimeters past the nut. These are intended to screw onto the axle threads over a low profile nut. The author states they are strong enough to hold the car by.
- Medium pro - hex cover: Designed for axles with 1-2mm poking out (e.g., B84 rear on 7mm hex or B7 front). Designed for low profile nuts; they provide a slight screw-on effect.
- Low pro - hex cover: A flat cap that does not screw on. Designed for scenarios where the nut protrudes but the axle is buried (e.g., wheeler front). These are slightly smaller than the nut head to allow for TPU stretch.

Printing and Assembly Guidance
All covers must be printed in TPU; the author specifically recommends SainSmart TPU. While the prints are not pre-threaded, the TPU is intended to self-tap onto the axle threads. To improve retention, the author suggests placing the covers 'flats to points' on the nut so they do not line up with the nut's flat sides.
