<p>From the LEGO 42129 4x4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros Trial Truck set, timtimgo created an alternative build, which is a fantastic MOC (downloadable here: <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" class="editor-link" href="https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-88360">https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-88360</a> ).</p><p>It’s a great design, but its weakness lies in the steering mechanism. Several people complained that the steering falls apart during use.</p><p>The reason is that the light gray 4×1×2/3 liftarms used to move the wheels press against the adjacent beam when the steering wheel is turned to the side. My solution was to 3D-print four custom parts that are the same length as the original liftarms but narrower, so they no longer press against the beam. The fix works perfectly, and after that there’s no problem with the steering.</p>
