Published description
Generic DC Power Supply Wall Mount
Purpose
This model is a case designed to enclose a generic 12V power supply unit (PSU) and mount it to a wall. It is intended to fit most standard standalone power supplies used in 3D printing, such as Mean Well models. The design features ventilation holes, though one side lacks holes to prevent dust collection inside the PSU. A specific hole is included to allow visibility of the status indicator light.
Practical Uses
This case is used for organizing and securing power supplies on a sturdy surface. It allows for easy access to connectors while keeping the unit enclosed. The design includes a cap to close off the open side of the case.
Included Parts
- Power Supply Mount - Case
- Power Supply Mount - Cap
Printing and Assembly Guidance
For printing the case, use tree supports and an infill of ≥ 15% with ≥ 2 walls. When printing the cap, it is recommended to print at under 100% scale depending on your printer's accuracy and filament. Users should consider the thermal properties of their chosen filament against the heat generated by the PSU.
To assemble, disconnect the power, install the case on a surface using screws (5mm diameter holes), and slide the PSU in so connectors are accessible and ventilation patterns match. If using the cap, snap it into place via friction fit. To remove the PSU, disconnect power and push the unit from the covered side; if the cap is installed, it should pop off with the force of the PSU.
