Purpose: 1. This is an X-axis right side cover designed for aesthetic purposes to cover the bare metal look of the printer. It is not a functional X-axis tensioner. 2. The design is intended to sit on the side of the printer without interfering with the extruder or the belt. 3. Practical Uses: Use as a decorative shield for the Creality CR-10 or CR-10S models. 4. Included Parts: Cache_X_CR-10_OUT_EXTENDED.stl, Cache_X_Cr-10S_IN_EXTENDED.stl, Cache_X_CR-10_OUT.stl, Cache_X_CR-10S_OUT_EXTENDED.stl, Cache_X_CR-10_IN_EXTENDED.stl, Cache_X-CR10S_IN_EXTENDED_BOLD.stl, X_axis_shield-without_text_EXTENDED.stl, Cache_X_CR-10_IN.stl, X_axis_shield_without_text.stl, Cache_X_CR-10S_OUT.stl, Cache_X_CR-10S_IN.stl. 5. Printing/Assembly Guidance: Print with 15-30% infill and higher resolution. Supports are not required. The author suggests printing on the right (hollow) side of the shield to simplify cleanup and avoid wasting material in supports.

<p>If like me you don't plan on upgrading you CR-10 with an X axis tensioner, but still wish to pimp that side of your printer, then this is just for you!</p>
<p>It doesn't get in the way of the belt or the extruder and is just nice if you don't like the bare metal look of your printer. Simply glide it from right to left and you should be good.<br/>
I suggest printing it on the right (hollow) side of the shield to avoid wasting material in support The cleanup is also much more easy.<br/>
I made it to train myself using Fusion 360 and calipers, so if it isn't perfect just let me know, I would be interested in making it better. If you have ideas on how to make it useful, let me know too!</p>
