<h3>Intro</h3><p>What better way to monitor your Centauri Carbon than with a little Centauri Carbon with CYD?</p><p>I modified the <code>CC MINI.STL</code> file provided with my printer to hold a 2.8" Cheap Yellow Display (CYD). I added holes in the front to mount a CYD flush with the face of the case as well as a hole for a USB cable to exit from the back. I needed to extend the top of the case a bit, and created a riser and "glass" cover for it. </p><h4>Files</h4><ul><li><p><code>cc-monitor-ldr</code>: case with hole for LDR (or LED on newer model CYDs)</p></li><li><p><code>cc-monitor-plain</code>: basic case without a hole for the LDR/LED</p></li><li><p><code>cc-riser-logo</code>: riser with Elegoo logo</p></li><li><p><code>cc-riser</code>: plain riser (no logo)</p></li><li><p><code>glass</code>: cover with handle (change color for handle after .4mm, if desired)</p></li></ul><h4>Hardware</h4><ul><li><p>Right-angle USB: shown are a USB-micro right-angle cable assembly, and a USB-C right-angle adapter with a standard USB-C cable. I designed it at just 0.4mm thick and printed as 2 .2mm layers. That is the one with the transparent handle. I since learned I should print very slowly with a small layer height, so the one with the colored handle was printed with a .1mm height and does look somewhat clearer. (Still not perfectly clear...)</p></li><li><p>The monitoring program still needs a lot of development. I will update when I feel it is complete. If anyone is interested, I have two desktop Python programs to a) connect to the CC and record the status messages it produces to a file, and b) a player program to emulate a CC printer by sending the messages from a file to the CYD.
