Purpose
This battery tray is designed to be suspended by the cross bars of a Dlux 2.2 rock crawler rig. It allows the battery to be slid across the cross members to adjust left/right weight distribution and tucks the battery further away from potential harm.
Practical Uses
The tray is sized specifically for a GensAce 850mAh 3S battery. According to the author, using this setup in their rig results in only 1% more weight on the front axle compared to placing the battery directly on the front axle.

Printing/Assembly Guidance
The author printed this part on a Prusa using supports, though they suggest it might be possible to print without them.

Battery tray that's suspended by the cross bars. The sizing is specifically for a GensAce 850mAh 3S battery. Allows battery to be slid across the cross members to get good L/R weight distribution. I know some of you purists would prefer putting the battery on the front axle but I've measured the difference in weight distribution. In my rig that only gets 1% more weight on the front axle - I reckon that's small enough to consider a rounding error :). Also I prefer to tuck the battery in a bit more out if harms way.

Printed on a prusa - I printed with supports but I reckon you could probably get away without

Anyhoo - it works great for me - hope it will for you too.
