Description
A battery tray designed to be suspended by the cross bars. The author states the sizing is specifically for a GensAce 850mAh 3S battery. This allows the battery to be slid across the cross members to adjust left/right weight distribution. The author reports that in their rig, this setup only results in 1% more weight on the front axle compared to placing the battery on the front axle. The author also notes a preference for tucking the battery in further away from harm. The author printed this on a Prusa using supports, though they suggest it might be possible to print without them.

<p>Battery tray that's suspended by the cross bars. The sizing is specifically for a GensAce 850mAh 3S battery. Allows battery to be slid across the cross members to get good L/R weight distribution. I know some of you purists would prefer putting the battery on the front axle but I've measured the difference in weight distribution. In my rig that only gets 1% more weight on the front axle - I reckon that's small enough to consider a rounding error :). Also I prefer to tuck the battery in a bit more out if harms way.</p><p>Printed on a prusa - I printed with supports but I reckon you could probably get away without </p><p>Anyhoo - it works great for me - hope it will for you too.</p><p> </p>
