Model information
Description
ABRAMS A1M2 TANK, 1/20 SCALE
Purpose
This 3D model is designed to create a 1/20 scale RC Abrams A1M2 tank. The project is intended for users interested in building a functional, remote-controlled scale model.
Practical Uses
While the author utilized an ESP32 and a PS4 controller for operation, the model is compatible with other electronic control systems. The author provides a GitHub repository containing the necessary code, a parts list, and circuit diagrams to assist in the build.
Included Parts
The model includes a wide variety of STL files for the tank's construction, such as the turret top section, lower part of the turret, main weapon body, and various skirt components (L1, L2, R1, R2). Mechanical components include suspension shock absorbers, engine mounts, motor and gear housings, various gears (Spur Gear 14 teeth, 56 teeth, N20 engine gear), and wheels/rims. It also features machine gun assemblies and turret rotation components.
Printing and Assembly Guidance
The author recommends using PLA filament. For general parts, use 15% infill, two walls, and supports where needed. For delicate moving parts, use 100% infill, four walls, and supports. Detailed electronic instructions and component lists are available via the author's GitHub link: https://github.com/sozelsters/Abrams-A1M2-Project.git
