CR-10 Toolhead ADXL345 and Raspberry Pi Pico Clamp Mount

The author designed this holder to make input-shaper calibration easier on a Creality CR-10. The mount clamps onto the metal toolhead carriage and holds an ADXL345 accelerometer module and a Raspberry Pi Pico. The design positions the ADXL345 close to the carriage while keeping the Pico and wiring in one removable assembly. Required Parts: - 1x Raspberry Pi Pico - 1x ADXL345 accelerometer module - Jumper wires - USB cable for the Raspberry Pi Pico - Screws for securing the clamp and ADXL345 - Printed mount Note: The author advises checking the screw fit before tightening, as hardware dimensions can vary between different ADXL345 boards and CR-10 toolhead versions. The author states this was designed around their CR-10 setup and that compatibility with other CR-10 revisions, toolhead plates, fan shrouds, or aftermarket modifications has not been confirmed. Recommended Print Settings: - Material: The author lists PLA, PETG, ABS, or ASA - Layer height: 0.20 mm - Nozzle: 0.4 mm - Walls/perimeters: 3–4 - Infill: 30–50% - Top and bottom layers: 4 - Supports: Depending on print orientation - Brim: Optional For the most accurate accelerometer readings, the author recommends printing the part with enough walls and infill to make it rigid so the mount does not flex or move during testing. Installation: 1. Insert the Raspberry Pi Pico into its holder. 2. Position the ADXL345 on the mounting surface. 3. Secure the ADXL345 firmly with the appropriate screws. 4. Connect the ADXL345 to the Raspberry Pi Pico. 5. Place the clamp over the CR-10 toolhead carriage. 6. Tighten the clamp screws evenly until the mount cannot move. 7. Connect the Pico to your Klipper host using USB. 8. Verify that the toolhead can move through its full X and Z range without the mount or wires hitting the frame. 9. Run the Klipper resonance and input-shaper calibration. Important Notes: The mount must be completely rigid during resonance testing. Secure all wires so they cannot catch on the frame, belts, wheels, or leadscrew. Move the toolhead slowly by hand before running any automated tests. Do not overtighten the clamp, as excessive force could damage the printed part or printer carriage.
