Creality CR-30 lowering kit (45° to 15°)
These parts allow for changing the gantry angle of the CR-30 from 45° down to 15°. The author notes that while this theoretically improves belt adhesion and printability of overhangs, several caveats exist: Slicer support is limited for 15°; while 15° can be selected in Creality belt, the resulting gcode is reported to be only usable when printing solid or thin-walled parts; maximum print height is reduced to approximately 62mm; the print head may collide with belt adjustment screws on homing; and the resulting angle may not be exactly 15°, which may cause prints to come out slightly skewed. The author suggests installing an additional endstop block (e.g., the gantry to frame connector dowel) to limit X-axis travel length. The author reports that belt adhesion does not seem to improve, possibly due to slicer limitations. Parts needed for assembly include a couple of M4x10 screws and washers, and M4 2020 hammer nuts.
