CReality CR-10 / CR-10S Z axis stabilizer brace, including OpenSCAD sources
Three parts to add bracing to an older CR-10 printer's Z axis. The set includes two bases, a regular top piece, and an offset top piece for the left side to prevent the gantry fan assembly from hitting the left threaded rod when near the top of the Z-axis range. Requirements: - Two threaded rods of approximately 65 to 70mm (depending on printer height). - Four to eight nuts. The author used cylindrical anchors in the bases and ordinary hex nuts at the tops. The author recommends stainless threaded rods. Optionally, the threaded rods can be covered with plastic or metal tubing for appearance and protection. OpenSCAD sources are included to allow modification for different anchoring nuts or to change the angles on the top parts to match the angles of the threaded rods.
